Hi to all the introverts ...and HSPs too.

Welcome to The No.1 Introverts Social Club, West Cornwall!

I’ve been running the group for four years on Meetup but have decided to migrate to Substack due to huge Meetup fees for hosts, and also extra fees for both host and attendee on signing up for a paid event.

- and to all who’ve come over from the Meetup site - thank you :)

We’ve had such wonderful times together and I’m always amazed and happy at the conversations and friendships, and just how chatty so many of us are when in like-hearted company :)
We now have 480 members - 3 more since this pic a few days ago

This group is for women, men, all… and all ages... for introverts, sensitives and also those who may feel shy or socially anxious about meeting others, but would really like to make new friends and socialise a little. Dogs are also very welcome on most walks :)

This group isn’t a dating group - it’s set up for friendships.

If you’re a gentle soul ...and quiet amongst others and take a little time, if you don’t always want to talk whilst socialising, that’s perfectly fine too - no pressure to talk, say, do or be anything :) Absolutely no small-talk necessary.

I understand how hard it can be, as an introvert (with hermit tendencies) and someone who loves their own company but is ready now to reach out and have happy times with others - for local visits, walks, gardens, cafes, galleries, maybe the cinema, theatre, pubs....all sorts.

Most events will take place around the West Cornwall area.

Great for those who love deeper conversation too, when you’re ready.

An inspiration for me is Susan Cain and her TED talk on ‘The Power of Introverts and her wonderful book ‘Quiet - The Power of Introverts in a world that can’t stop talking’ and many other writers, poets, painters, travellers, musicians...
